I did see I Remember Mama. Rodgers was quite ill when he wrote it, and, in my opinion, it showed. A friend of mine worked on it, notated it for Rodgers and harmonized it for him. The show itself was boring and lacklustre. Liv Ullman was charming but couldn't sing it; George Hearn didn't have enough to do, and George S. Irving was...well...George S. Irving. | |
