| Please don't flame me, but with all of the Gypsy cancellations, what has happened to the generation of performers who would just plow through and make sure the show kept going? Who cares if a line is flubbed, a script is used, voices crack....etc. That's the EXCITEMENT of live theater! The OG Rose, Ethel Merman, rarely missed performances and sang through illness and made things happen. I'm just so surprised that the understudies weren't able to become functional by this point and the cast didn't rally to make the show happen. Am I missing something or completely unreasonable? |
