You seem determined to assign blame, but you (a) don't have the facts and (b) are making suggestions that don't fly with any facts. The illnesses DO appear to be affecting Gypsy disproportionately (which as I explained in a previous post is consistent with how contagions spread). If rampant illness had overtaken other shows, even if they were not cancelled, we would be hearing about a ton of understudies, and we haven't. Bear in mind that small casts and non musicals can work around risks more easily, and this show in particular is cast in such a way that doubling and tripling coverage is not feasible. But most of this has been said since your original post, and it seems you have chosen to ignore most of it. Maybe better planning by you would avoid the degree to which you are getting some of what you said you did not want: flaming. So lets not try to micro-manage things when we don't even know anything, and now let's be glad a critical mass is well enough to not only perform but perform in top form.
