Maybe I should re-read the play. I just did a quick glance at it to check a couple of things. Not having read the play in a long time, I remember noticing only one potentially offensive line from the play that was cut in the film, Patrick's line about Mame's "airy-fairy friends from Fire Island." That basically comes from the novel, where he instead says "queer friends on Fire Island." Other than that, I know there are a few good new lines in the screenplay, and "sons of bitches" becomes "suckers," and "top-hole" becomes "top-drawer," and stuff like that. Anyway, maybe I need to refresh my memory.
