| Um ... I think you may be overthinking this. I believe they meant they wanted "Let Me Be Your Star" to mimic the structure and propulsion of "Don't Rain on My Parade." For my money, they succeeded -- the songs sound very similar, with the bass and percussion driving the latter half of the song up through the belted finale. | |
