We have to care about the play and its characters. The inner play has to someway relate to the story being told. In the case of Kiss Me, Kate. There is actually a play within a play within a play. "We Open in Venice." Wanting to be a star is an outer shell to a real want i.e. be loved, be authentic, .... | |
