Yes. And putting it in the wrong place for the wrong purpose. Can you imagine opening A Chorus Line with One. Fiddler with Tevye's Dream. La Mancha with the Impossible Dream. We have to care about the play and its characters. The inner play has to someway relate to the story being told. In the case of Kiss Me, Kate. There is actually a play within a play within a play.
