Doris and A-M would have been IDEAL as Sally and Phyllis though not at the same time given the age difference(A-M could still play Carlotta today)I always found it unusual that Day not only never considered Broadway but that she didn't even give a single concert during or after her film and TV career...I mean the money she could have raised for her pet foundation in one night at Carnegie Hall..I guess she hated performing even more than Streisand.
