| ''Merrily'' topped last week's highest-grossing Broadway shows with $2,766,127; followed by ''The Lion King'' ($2,463,593) and ''Wicked'' ($2,187,828). ''Merrily's'' average ticket price was $357 (!). And last week marks the highest-grossing week ever for a Stephen Sondheim musical on Broadway. ''Sweeney Todd,'' starring Josh Groban, topped $2 million a few times; its record was Christmas week in 2023: $2,261,278 (with only 7 shows). |
