| Great overtures can rev up the audience and set the tone for the show. Sadly, they seem out of fashion nowadays, but some are great musical pieces on their own. My favorites are the Gypsy Overture and the Carousel Waltz--every time, in the theatre, I see how the audience is visibly changed when they play. |
