| No, I totally disagree with everything you wrote, you took what I posted and perverted it. I never said she was on "a campaign trail of contrition." According to you, she didn't show contrition, ok, we got that out of the way. Again, I didn't read every tweet nor did I see any post interviews. I'm not condoning what she tweeted. It is very unlikely she's going to win Best Actress. What, a trans woman of color, ya think? This is America. Let's talk in 6 months to a year, I say Karla Sofia Gascon's American mainstream career is toast. But, I maybe wrong. Very few people get canceled? Kevin Spacey anyone? Paula Deen. Lizzo's probably next. I can name many politically: Andrew Cuomo, who I feel we need exactly now, Katie Hill, Al Franken and from back in the day, Jocelyn Elders. I'm not giving her a pass. But I think the only thing that would satisfy you is if she appeared in front of a crowd of people who would get up one at a time to chastise and verbally throw mud at her, and then she would say, "You're so right, I was wrong, will you ever forgive me? I will work to change." etc, She may never change. My point is others have done as bad or worse, and have survived. Karla I doubt has a future in the US, but again, who really knows? |
