| When John Raitt toured in the show late in his career he insisted that the first act end with the Soliloquy. I saw him do it in a tent in Alabama in the early '70s. I don't remember if the second act opened with the scene that traditionally ends Act One, but I doubt it. I think it is a mistake to cut that scene, but obviously it can be fairly simply done. | |
