| Subsection (c) is unnecessarily complicated and verbose, but it can be parsed. What they are saying (through the clutter) is that if it has been produced on Broadway before (but not before 46/47 for a reason the logic of which evades me) but not in any professional theatre in Manhattan within the previous 3 years, it's a revival. To get a good sense of the context of some of the more peculiar rules, one must understand that they were written at one of David Merrick's infamous opium soirees.* * j/k |
