In 1961, a version somewhat similar but not identical to the London version was licensed for production in the U.S. and immediately received productions. Some of the songs added for London were retained, but not all, while some numbers not in the London version were added.

I don't know when (perhaps it was in the 1970s), but at some point there was a new licensed version, which was done widely. This version included "Boys and Girls Like You and Me," which had been written for but was cut from Oklahoma! during the tryout, and "Loneliness of Evening," which had been dropped from South Pacific during the tryout. The latter was in the 1965 telecast with Lesley Ann Warren.

In 2000, a tour went out with Deborah Gibson and Eartha Kitt, which was based partly on the Brandy version, even including Paolo Montalban as the Prince.

The Beane version has four songs that were neither in the original telecast nor in the 1965 telecast. (I think no dialogue from either the original or the 1965 version is in the Beane book, but I am not completely sure of that.) When previews started, there were six songs that were neither in the original nor in the 1965 version, but two were cut during previews. The Beane version included one of the songs added to the Brandy version, "There's Music in You," which had also been in the Gibson-Kitt-Montalban tour.

I hope I have all of that right. I could go into more detail, but life is short, while art is forever.
