My bad. I actually have not seen the Julie version still, in full, and I don't remember it being in the Leslie Ann Warren TV movie, but it is. Each version since Julie's has added songs too.
(for the recorded I said it was *added*, not written -- big difference. I know the long dead R&H didn't write a new song for the 1997 TV movie)
I'm also learning from Wiki that the 1957 Warren TV movie was done after the success of a stage version "in London and elsewhere", so the stage version has been around almost as long as the musical itself, just not on Broadway, which, knowing that, is quite surprising. |
