| I've only listened to the original Broadway cast album. I've never had the chance to see a production of it. But it's hard for me to imagine a musical of ''All About Eve'' without the critical character of Addison DeWitt. ''Applause's'' creators had the rights to the short story ''Eve'' is based on, but not initially to the film characters Joseph L. Mankiewicz created. What a shame. I think DeWitt is ''essential'' to ''All About Eve,'' ''like ants to a picnic.'' |
