| Sean Dugan plays an agent in Smash. Lots of actors have gotten leads on Broadway with no major experience. Off-hand, Betty Buckley’s first audition was for 1776 which she booked. Some of the cast of Rent didn’t have much theater experience. Laura Benanti in The Sound of Music. It’s not clear that Karen doesn’t have a resume or just moved to NYC. She’s been there long enough to have a serious relationship. |
