| Not only did Rapp take the lead role in MEAN GIRLS on Broadway but she ended up leading the movie as well. I didn't see ALMOST FAMOUS but it was Likes' character's story. Donna McKechnie has never played a role on Broadway in which she carried the show. Neither did Scott Wise, though they were both great in STATE FAIR. As for Hilty being more physically right for the role of Marilyn, I don't get it. Monroe was taller than Hilty. If Hilty was a brunette, would people still say she was more right for the role than McPhee? I don't think so. |
