I'm sure Irene Dunne, who did the non-musical film "Anna and King of Siam" could have done Anna in "The King & I" on stage (she was probably deemed too mature by the time the movie was filmed).

And yes, Rosalind Russell played Ruth in both "My Sister Eileen" as a movie and its musical version "Wonderful Town" on stage and in the tv version. She didn't have the vocal chops to sing "If He Walked Into My Life" and some of the other songs in the musical version of "Auntie Mame", but then neither did Lucille Ball. :(
