| "I'm sure Irene Dunne, who did the non-musical film "Anna and King of Siam" could have done Anna in "The King & I" on stage (she was probably deemed too mature by the time the movie was filmed)." I came here to say that both Irene Dunne and Rex Harrison could have played Anna and the King in "The King & I." It's hard to say without having seen it, but could Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt have repeated their roles in the musical version of "The Devil Wears Prada?" |
