Let me start at the beginning. Despite that 11 O clock number that was on the Tonys, PARADISE SQUARE was not a very good show at all. Garth Drabinsky was a convicted criminal. Remember that the fraud that his theatrical producing company engaged in was IDENTICAL to the fraud he committed with his movie theatre chain. So why did the Shubert Organization put there name on this show as a producer. And give the show a theatre. And why did Moises Kaufman, and Bill T Jones and Toni Lesli Jones et al work on this? Did they need jobs so desperately that working for a crook was their only option? As I know only two well from colleagues who worked on this show in many departments - Garth didn't pay on time (Equity almost shut the show down for this) - some people still haven't been paid for this show. Even though Garth was legally restricted from being involved in the finances of this show. There is shame to spread all over Broadway for letting this man back on the street. Not that I have an opinion.
