I know you do, which is why I was surprised to see you call it a mystery. As you also know, the rules for nominator voting can sometimes result in seemingly anomalous results, and that situation gets weirder still when there are 6 nominees, as you seem to be saying and I agree, and as there were here for the musical award.

But the way things are set up, no one is representing that the nominators ("found 'Paradise Square' worthy" of even one nomination it received. (For that reason, I don't get very invested in these or any awards as meaningful expressions of any real consensus.

I am curious about one thing as it relates to this: of those 10 nominations, how many were "default" nominations, or essentially default? [Essentially default meaning that while other eligible shows or people were not nominated, they and 1 or more of those nominated fell in an objective "never gonna win" placeholder subcategory.] Please get back to me on that before the cutoff date in 2025. :-)
