| The lower court had thrown out the case. Garth was sad. He found some lawyers willing to take money to file an appeal. It was all for naught. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the lower court's decision. Garth had raised claims that Equity violated the antitrust laws and also certain state laws (defamation, negligence, etc.) The court said no dice on any of it. Garth was mad. As things stand, union actors and stage managers will never be subjected to his odiousness again. Lots of bad news this week, but this news (while not unexpected) is very good indeed. |
