| It is not really a mystery, is it? Some people like things that others don't. I feel certain there have been times you were a strong advocate for shows that no one else loved. (I recall being "mixed" on Paradise Square: some good elements, some bad, and significantly harmed by its lack of concision. Garth seems to favor shows in which more is more; I had the same problem with Ragtime which I nonetheless liked more than PS.) It is also not a mystery about Tony noms, because, as you know, musicals especially sometimes achieve them by default. (And the expansion to 6 had nothing to do with wanting to make sure PS got a nod.) |
