| The annual poll is out (surveying about 25% of the voting body). It doesn't clear up two of the big question marks: Best Musical and Leading Actress in a Musical. Other things are pretty much done deals. Pretty certain (big leads among the polled sample): Stereophonic (Play) Appropriate (Play Revival) Merrily (Musical Revival) Jonathan Groff (Lead Actor in a Musical) Jeremy Strong (Lead Actor in a Play) Sarah Paulson (Lead Actress in a Play) For Best Musical, The Outsiders is just ahead of Hell's Kitchen. For Leading Actress in a Musical, O'Hara, Moon, and Plunkett are in a dead heat. Is it possible that The Outsiders could win Best Musical and nothing else? |
