| The article is primarily about how non-profits were the originators of most of the Tony-nominated shows this year and also includes his Tony picks. But Isherwood spends time explaining why he was not impressed with Stereophonic. ------- In 25 years of Broadway reviewing, I have never been more dumbfounded, gobsmacked, bouleversé—pick your idiom—by the critical hysteria for any production. “Stereophonic,” in my view, is both shallow and tedious. |
