| From what I understand from someone working with Maria Friedman as the production was prepping for NYTW, this revival of the Menier production started with Daniel Radcliffe, who apparently had casting approval over his two co-stars. I doubt NYTW had any sway with casting the leads. I saw it at the Menier and thought the chemistry between Mark Umbers, Damian Humbley and Jenna Russell was deep and true and very very moving. The supporting performances and some of the ensemble were less stellar. |
