| Fair enough regarding Isherwood’s dislike of Stereophonic but wouldn’t “Merrily” also count as a UK co-production at least in the beginning of its production life. Also, I personally think if you are going to use the word “revelatory” to describe anything and particularly a production you might give us a hint as to what was revealed… I assume it means aspects of the play that feel of the moment that were hidden or obscured by either time or previous productions? |
