Sondheim bathroom situation

Bathroom situations at Broadway theatres has been discussed alot here but i felt like venting. I recently saw "& Juliet" and visited the men's room at intermission. There were loads of women online at a standstill. The men's line was long but moving quickly. There was a guy on a headset "directing traffic" who suddenly announced something like, "ok, it's 2024!" and proceeded to let this line of women into the men's room where I was one of about 10 guys lined up at the urinals. No one seemed to care about us or whether we were uncomfortable with the situation. I mean, there was literally a line right behind my back as I was doing my thing! So strange. I guess I could've complained but the intermission was ending and I figured what's the use. I hear, after a lengthy, multi million dollar renovation, the Palace also has bathroom problems. What is the deal? Thanks for listening :-)
