Kind of an insulting way to have the understudy in the Playbill

Halstead, if she is not sick, may be irritated, but I don't think there's a lot she can do about it. Although I imagine that she was unlikely to go on was probably spelled out to her before she took the job, given how the Playbill appears. In the Playbill as listed at Playbill.com, the only two photos on the cast photo page are for Farrow and Lupone. Halstead's photo is actually next to her bio, literally about a quarter of the size of Farrow and Lupone's photos. And her bio isn't right after Farrow's and Lupone's, which is the order in the Playbill for every other show I've ever seen -- all the actors are typically together as the first listings. Instead, her bio is after the entire creative team, presumably so it will be on a later page. If I were her, I'd be outraged about that, unless that was spelled out for me before signing a contract.

Has any other show ever tried to hide the understudy like this? Some shows have every actor's photo next to their bio, but I've never seen a Playbill with the understudy photo buried in the Playbill like that. And I've never seen a Playbill where the actor bios aren't all listed together. This isn't the worst thing to ever happen to an actor, but I think it's pretty insulting to the understudy. I'm sure there's no official rule about minimizing the understudy, but I wonder what Actors Equity thinks about this.
