| Saw last night's preview. Short comments: Pluses: great performances all around. The 3 women leads have dynamite voices. Set and choreography really good. Minues: too long at 2:40; I'd trim it down a bit....especially some of the songs seemed repetitive. A few times I was reminded of Hadestown. I would like to go again as it has been extended to see what changes they make over the course of the run...but I paid $55 for my seat....tickets were now selling around $200. If anyone has seen this production and the one in NYC, would like to hear a comparison. Is there a plan for this post-ART? Also, on the back of the program, which was one of those cards with the QR code on it (which we really couldn't use since our phones were locked), it announced Diane Paulus was opening the season with Romeo and Juliet. |
