At least this one has a theme. In the book Nick says in his narration, "I see now that this has been a story of the West after all." Could that be the class stratification you speak of? Is anything made of that?

I wonder if the enhancement producers know that "capitalism [is] the Great American Crime." Like you I agree that and the others are good themes.

When you say "I don't think what follows creates a compelling to support that" do you mean the themes are stated early on?

Maybe the show is muddled because the wealthy enhancement producers don't want to be reminded of dirty money.

I'm sure the music, lyrics, and book are terrible. And of course everyone stood up at the end. Sheep.
