I hate to be the one to say this because I don't want it to be true... but is the plan really to include all of the songs in the movie? I would think, particularly, that the Valentin non-Aurora-movie-musical, book-driven content might be first on the chopping block. I did think (before hearing about Luna's probable casting) they would at least try to figure out how to include The Day After That. But that is a huge sing.
I am just so thrilled to hear that production has begun. I am always worried these projects will go away. I adore this show, having seen the original with Chita and Stokes as well as the tour. Later went to TOFT library to watch the full original cast. I also love the Vanessa Williams recording. Both recordings are always in rotation in my current mix, even after all these years. |
