Perelman PAC

I visited the Perelman PAC last night to see Laurence Fishburne's Like They Do in the Movies. Great looking building, but some issues that you would think a half billion dollars would avoid.

First among them was the seating in the balcony. Weirdly, the chairs were so tilted as to slide me forward, toward the floor. The usher offered a different seat, but that one also urged me forward toward the floor. The effort to keep in place hurt my back. In short, in the words of one Twitter poster, "the seats were horrible."

There were also problems with the elevators (not enough) and the steps in front of the building (far too many). But these problems were dwarfed by the problem with the chairs.

As far as the performance, I can recommend Fishburne's one man show. He's an excellent raconteur.
