| Exit the subway and head toward The Vessel. Walk right past it toward The Shed building which is clearly visible from there and the entrance is just a few steps away to your right. Basically you enter into thr "back" of the building on the coatcheck level, one level above the lobby. (It is possible that this entrance is only open one hour before performance time.) I find The Shed lobby spacious and comfortable and there are large bathrooms on very level of the building. The seats in the theater where I saw Here We Are and The Effect are super comfortable, and in the two different configurations required by those show, the sight-lines were excellent. Yes, getting from the lobby to the theater space requires taking 3? 4? very narrow and long escalators which can take some time and get crowded, but the view out the glass walls as you're riding them never gets old. |
