I have the same concerns about Diego Luna despite his top-notch acting skills. While I'm crossing my fingers he can do justice to the vocals, judging by his performance in "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," I already know he can't dance, LOL.
The only non-singing actor cast in a movie musical that has impressed me in recent memory with his hidden singing talent was Andrew Garfield in "tick, tick...BOOM!" It's true that he had the luxury of working with a vocal coach for at least a year before recording the songs, but that doesn't make the final results any less remarkable. |
