I agree with everything you say about the peculiar building. The seats are also oddly high off the floor. It was hard to get settled, and once I was seated, I had to drop my bag to the floor...The front row of the second balcony is so close to the low barrier of the overhang that I'm afraid someone squeezing past seated patrons will lose their balance and tumble over the side...I will say that despite being in that second balcony I didn't feel far from the stage.
I wish the show had more raconteuring and less monologuing. About a half hour in, Fishburne starts doing characters, when I was expecting more from his life. Despite the title, there's little in the show about the movies... |
