Why do directors (and then stage managers) encourage the Baby Junes in GYPSY to be so....so.... weird?
I sometimes wonder if, even subconsciously, Baby June is commenting (or is directed in the production to comment) on how bad the act is. It's something she talks about in the scene before "If Momma," but maybe she's already finding ways to make that known at an earlier age? |
