| Alan, I have the Kino Lorber DVD issue of the film. It was cut down to 90 minutes, but the DVD also includes the extended cut at 94 minutes. Not sure what 4 minutes were left off the broadcast version. I agree with you about Bancroft. Only occasionally did she rise to the level of her earlier performances. It was almost as though she felt that acting bigger was better. Many times I found her work to be too much. She made it look difficult. | |
