I've said it before but no one seemed to agree. lol. I think he's a gifted pop artist. But not only does he not seem able to write great scores for the theatre, but I pretty much lost all respect for him as a collaborator when I learned that with some of these projects he faxes in his work. If you are not in the room creating, watching the audiences, I just don't believe you will come up with a good product. It feels a little arrogant, or at the least out of touch. I don't know for sure, but I doubt Disney allowed him to work that way for their projects. |
