Wildhorn's The Civil War was easily the worst thing I ever saw on Broadway. No element worked at all, AND I could see stolen bits from lots of other sources. The only worse thing I ever saw was a terrible college production of The Bacchae. Even the seats were uncomfortable, and they burned incense onstage. The worst production I ever smelled. I've walked of 1 show after the first act, but it was due to companion not feeling well. I missed the first act of a show that a friend directed once, and she asked me such specific questions afterward I had to confess. |
