| Just my opinion, but I would offer Sher's recent Met "Rigoletto" as a production without any seeming imagination. Particularly in the context of the "Vegas" production which preceded it - which may not have been universally loved, but at least it had a clear point of view and was full of visceral theatrical imagination. |
