| I don't think anyone was actually electrocuted, but conditions for the apprentices (mostly) and other workers during one summer finally became untenable and forced them to rebel and refuse to continue work; WTF had wanted them to deal, while it was raining, with changing and moving sound equipment, lights and other sets which involved things like live wires that could have gotten someone electrocuted. There were articles written that finally laid bare how WTF was mistreating and overworking people, without sufficient time off, who had paid for the opportunity to be, frankly, abused in such a fashion. You can find some articles about this with a google search. Apparently they can't put on a season like they are accustomed to without such labor. |
