| Kate Baldwin is close in type to Nanette Fabray, who had won the Tony for the role in "Love Life, so I'm happy that Baldwin is still involved, as it might approximate some of that role's impact. "Green-up Time" and "Mr. Right", among her other songs, stand to gain by the charm that served her so well in "Finian's Rainbow" and other shows. Nicholas Christopher did a fine job in Encores "Jelly's Last Jam" vocally, and he moved very well. Hope they are working on some circus and/or magic skills as a reading of a synopsis indicates they may be required to some extent. Looking forward to seeing this up-to-now unlucky but fascinating show and hopefully getting a full recording of it finally. | |
