I've heard that Kim Kowalke of the Weill Foundation lobbied for Kate Baldwin to be cast.
I'm pretty sure that in discussion with you here not long ago I mentioned that the Opera North production (or perhaps concert) next January is to be recorded live for commercial release. And also that the Weill Foundation was not going to permit a recording of the Encores! production when it was first scheduled because of changes that were being made to the score. They were willing to permit the changes for the performances, but would not permit them on a recording. Maybe some of this will change or has changed. I don't know. |
