| John, who was a friend of mine, had planned to record LOVE LIFE and had already done a lot of score preparation with the cooperation of the Kurt Weill Foundation. Unfortunately, his label, EMI, balked at making it a two-disc set. John refused to do a truncated recording, and so it didn't happen. At least that's what John told me. I believe BRIGADOON replaced it. |
