| what you write is too bad to be true. A person making $5k/week in NYC makes, after taxes (assuming single, no dependents, std deduction), commissions (assuming 25% for an agent and a manager), and (what you ironically forgot to include) AEA dues, nets $11,220/mo. That assumes quite a few things, some highly unlikely and others just unlikely: no other income, no roommate sharing the cost of a larger apartment, and that you are actually paying a manager notwithstanding no obvious need for one, among many others).
