| I confess I am not a fan of Dolly or Bart but I do not see it as an obvious combo in any case. Her collaborators on 9 to 5 were top-shelf, but I don't know (or remember) anything about her involvement in them. I am pretty sure it was produced by a pretty conventional set of actual producers. I do know that it was a flop. Always well to remember that success in other enterprises does not often translate well to Broadway. ETA @Chazwaza Mantello is not the easiest soul on earth to work with and whereas I can imagine Dolly/Bart being apples and oranges, it could be that Dolly/Joe were oil and water. |
