This was mentioned before. The curtain in back slowly parts to reveal the white cyc, as if the iceberg were approaching bit by bit. I did think it was effective - I'm not sure if it's really going as far as a "coup de theatre" but it worked.

The tea tray moment has always been in the show.

There were a few true coup de theatre moments in the original production that couldn't have been done here - particularly the stage mechanics during "Mr. Andrews' Vision" as the ship lurched and tilted. Andrews in the smokeroom, with furniture falling toward him, lastly a grand piano about to hit him - with passengers on the deck above holding onto the rail and screaming. It was pretty amazing and moving.
