lol - I had remarked on facebook at intermission that I was "ready to bawl my eyes out" during Act II.

One of those moments that still packs a wallop musically but was so much more effective in the original staging was the end of "We'll Meet Tomorrow," with the passengers in the lifeboats holding onto the others for dear life until they were lowered down. That - and the big tenor solo moment that Charles has right before that ("Come say you love me as I kiss your eyes" etc) - instant tears. Last night as well.

One memory from the college production - um, well, young professional production - that I did in 2017 - I'm usually not one for closing night displays of emotion during the show, but my ladies who had the "including my husband...and my husband...and my husband" lines started breaking down as they spoke it for the last time. I really can't blame them. I was a wreck in the pit each night during those final moments. :-)

If last night did anything more than just feel like a fantastic night at the theatre, it really rekindled my desire to music direct this show again. I miss it!!!
