There is nothing that ever indicates the girls had different fathers.(Let alone any talk of their father at all. Just that Rose keeps getting married.)
I love Christopher Fitzgerald but has ever played a part like Herbie? MAYBE he could do something as serious.
June "passing" vs. Louise is interesting. But what about what Laurents wrote(and maybe what really happened)? Louise just wasn't as talented as June, at least for the kind of vaudeville that Rose was writing. And that Louise becomes a star/comes into her own as a person because she seizes a moment and runs with it. |
